Now, it can understand the world.
I can remember the days when it was a really big deal to be able to take a picture with your flash camera that involved using a flash cube. It worked pretty well, assuming you had a flash cube readily available. Then came the Polaroid instant camera, which gave us instant photography. Well, maybe not instant like the instant digital photos we get today, but waiting a couple of minutes for a picture to show itself was a lot faster than waiting a couple of weeks to get it developed. Fast forward to today's technology and we now have the ability to take pictures in 3D! Structure Sensor clips to the back of an iPad and acts as a 3D scanner. Although there are a limited number of apps available to use with the sensor at this time, more will be created in the near future as it is geared toward program developers, so that they can build a wide range of apps at a low cost. The possibilities of what can be done with this technology is limitless!
